Dallas Jewish Funerals was established to provide the Jewish community an alternative to the growing number of funeral homes owned by corporate giants. Our philosophy is to treat your family as our own, which is something owner/funeral director Jeff Friedman is known for.
Jeff Friedman has served the Jewish community for nearly a decade. In 2001 he opened Houston Jewish Funerals which now does the majority of Jewish Funeral services in Houston. Now he is bringing this concept to Dallas, the city he grew up in. Dallas Jewish Funerals is the only independently owned funeral business in the Dallas area owned and operated by a Jewish funeral director.
We provide services at graveside, synagogues, our chapel if suitable (50-seat), and also do alternative services. Additionally, we offer a full selection of funeral merchandise such as caskets. What surprises many people is that we do this more personally and for far less than our competitors charge. We believe you will find our charge for traditional funeral will be thousands less than our corporately owned competitor who has been serving the Jewish community of Dallas for decades. We invite you to compare prices and visit our facilities.
Dallas Jewish Funerals is continually building its library of literature about death, dying and living, and developing partnerships with local youth groups to sponsor community service programs such as cleaning up Jewish cemeteries. In addition, support groups and inter-congregational meals and other events are continually planned to help the bereaved balance individual grieving with the support of various social activities.
